Companies House is recruiting leaders to fill top digital and data roles.
The Business Register is currently looking for applicants for the role of digital and technology director, as well as the new chief executive officer position.
Both officers will receive up to £117,800, sit on the association’s board, and report to chief executive Louise Smyth. The two leaders will “review and refine” existing strategies and implement the revised plans across the organization over the coming year.
The main objectives for the digital and technology leader – who will manage six people directly, and sit at the head of a wider staff of 220 employees – include reducing technical debt and working to ” to attract, retain and build a talent pipeline and further expand the capabilities of experienced and passionate digital and technology professionals”.
Leading a team of 40 experts, the chief data officer is expected to “move Companies House closer to the data union, maximizing the value of data for UK economy, and will support our strategy and data leadership,” the job ad said.
This includes our “responsibility for our strategic use of data to deliver our vision of being the most innovative, open and trusted registry in the world, achieved by increasing the value of our registry , the fight against economic crime and inspiring trust and confidence”.
Both roles will be instrumental in delivering a three-year program of digital and data projects supported by £63m of funding provided in last year’s spending review.
“We are looking for successful individuals who can support us in using this investment to improve our services to 3.7m businesses and 12 million individual users each year and oversee exciting new services that support expansion of voting rights,” said the digital and technology ad. Director.
