NEW YORK – Madonna on Tuesday announced a world tour to honor her career spanning more than four decades.
The 35-city string of dates kicks off July 15 in Vancouver, with stops in major US cities including Detroit, Chicago, Miami and New York, where his rise to superstardom began.
“The Celebration Tour” will continue in Europe through the fall, with stops in London, Barcelona and Paris, with the final show in Amsterdam on December 1st.
“I’m excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes of giving my fans the show they’ve been waiting for,” Madonna said in a statement.
The 64-year-old broke the news about the tour in a video that nods to the 1991 documentary “Truth or Dare.”
In the clip, the Queen of Pop plays the classic sleepover game with other celebrities including Diplo, Jack Black, Lil Wayne and Bob the Drag Queen, who will be joining her on tour .
Madonna is a seven-time Grammy winner with 14 studio albums as well as live, soundtrack and recording credits to her name, and has cemented her immeasurable influence over 40 years as one of the biggest stars in the music.
